An outting

This weekend in Nanaimo a Baby Fair was being held at the local Rec Centre. I had known about this event for several months and knew that I really wanted to attend it. My husband and amazing friend Gloria worked together to get me out of the house. After being home for the last couple weeks and barely getting out this was going to be a big deal for me. Adding to the adventure I planned to drive my truck for the first time in close to a month. Gloria lives about a 5 minute drive from my place and when I pulled into her driveway the first thing I asked her for was some pain killers...hehe driving was more difficult then I thought it would be. I choose to leave Saylor at home for this outing as I knew I wouldn't be able carry him or push the stroller yet. The Baby Fair was overwhelming for me and I only purchased some bamboo wash clothes. Being out for almost two hours was a little much and I had to come home to take some pain killers and have a nap.

In the grand scheme of things my trip to the Baby Fair is a small event. For me being only 18 days post c-section and arrival of Saylor it was a big adventure. I enjoyed getting out and feeling part of the world again. Thanks to Pete and Gloria for getting my arse out of the house!
